The Teaching and Learning Center is a faculty-managed facility designed to enhance teaching and learning excellence for full and part-time professional faculty and staff at the Michael J. Grant Campus. The primary goal of the TLC is to offer workshops that include information and training covering three general categories: 1). Pedagogy and Excellence in Teaching, 2). Multiculturalism and Diversity, and 3). e-Learning. The workshops offered are faculty-led, built from the lead faculty member’s respective academic training, pedagogical expertise, and experience, both in and out of the classroom, and offer the College community an opportunity to share and learn best practices. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with computers, extensive software, plus scanners with photo, slide, and text-scanning capabilities. We offer a workshop series each semester to discuss new teaching and learning techniques and also provide training on a wide array of computer software programs.
