Mission

The Teaching and Learning Center is a faculty-managed facility designed to enhance teaching and learning excellence for full and part-time professional staff at the Michael J. Grant Campus.

Goals

To encourage professional development as a means to enhance life and promote collegiality on the Michael J. Grant Campus for all constituencies.
To offer professional development programs at a variety of organizational levels.
To encourage funding of professional staff projects by the College and grant agencies.
To connect human resources and promote classroom research.
To sponsor faculty training programs and showcase achievement.
To coordinate educational resources and information exchange.
To sponsor faculty trips to conferences and computer training sessions.
To sponsor mini-courses on new software programs each semester to help faculty in the use of new technologies.
To promote the continual exchange of new ideas for teaching within the entire SCCC community by sponsoring informal faculty gatherings.
