Sherri Juhas has been teaching American Sign Language I (SL10), American Sign Language 2 (SL 14) and Fingerspelling (SL24) at SCCC for the past 15 years. She is certified in Deaf Secondary Education and holds a BA in Elementary Ed, and MS in Deaf Education form National Technical Institute for the Deaf University of Rochester.  Currently she is teaching high school Social Studies at the Cleary School for the Deaf Secondary Program at East Islip High School. Sherri is an active member of the New York State Association of Educators for the Deaf (NYSAED) and Long Island Social Studies Organization. She is interested in Deaf Education, ASL, Intergrating Technology into the classroom. Sherri is deaf, and has a husband and 18 year-old son who are hearing. Her son is presently a freshman at Syracuse University.
In her spare time Sherri and her husband are enjoying their new freedom and traveling.
