 Prof. Hedstrom
Professor Hedstrom completed his graduate work at the New Institute of Technology in Media Studies. He also holds a Master of Science in Military Science from the Army Command and General Staff College. He is currently pursuing his doctorate at Hofstra University where he also serves as an adjunct faculty member.

Retiring with the rank of colonel from the United States Army, he began his teaching career at Suffolk in 1991. While he was in the Army, he was Deputy Chief for Public Affairs and served as an advisor on a number of Hollywood combat films.

He and his wife Bonnie are the parents of 2 children. Professor Hedtrom is an avid sailor.
