His work for MSG Network/Fox Sports Net includes serving for more than 20 years on telecasts of the New York Islanders. Currently, he is the Assistant Director of all Islander home games.
He is proudest, however, of his association as a member of NBC's
producing staff for Thoroughbred Horse Racing. He remains as one of
only 3 people to have worked on every Breeders' Cup telecast since the
inaugural event in 1984. He also works on the Triple Crown telecasts
each Spring for NBC.
Professor Bernstein is also actively involved in racing as a horse owner. He has owned race horses for more than 10 years and is a principal in In Sync Stables, an ownership group which races in the New York area and in Florida.
In his personal life, he has a happy home with his long-time girlfriend
Tracy Tanner and their 3 wonderful cats, Scooter, Louie, and Wicked.
