TLC Mission Statement

Our Mission
To enhance teaching and learning excellence for full and part-time faculty.

Our Goals

  1. To encourage professional development as a means to enhance life and promote collegiality on the Ammerman Campus for all constituencies.
     
    • Each member of the Advisory Board will serve as an ambassador of professional development with his or her colleagues.
    • The Center Coordinator will maintain current information on trends in higher education in the Center. Listings of these materials will be circulated to the professional staff.
    • The Center will highlight faculty achievements through a variety of Professional Development events.
       
  2. To offer professional development programs at a variety of organizational levels.
     
    • The Advisory Board will offer a variety of programs, workshops, and courses in technology and pedagogy such as Collaborative Learning, Classroom Presentation Tools, and Educational Uses of the Internet.
    • The Board will maintain and promote the Educational Technology Center for faculty training and use.
    • The Board will assess the professional development needs of the faculty by Department and arrange to meet their needs.
       
  3. To encourage funding of professional projects by the College and grant agencies.
     
    • The committee members will share information on grant opportunities.
    • We will offer grant opportunity workshops.
    • We will support efforts to make technology more accessible.
