++ Students enrolled in the Philosophy Option will take at least one
course in each of
the following areas: I. Reasoning (PL14 Crit Thinking,
PL15 Logic); II. Values
(PL20 Philo of Art, PL23 Ethics, PL24 Biomedical
Ethics, PL25 Business Ethics,
PL45 Rights); III. History (PL17 History of Philosophy,
PL18 World Philosophies,
PL48 20th Century Philosophy).
* To be chosen with advice of Philosophy Department advisor.
** Students are required to complete a foreign language sequence through
the
intermediate II level. Students who begin with advanced
placement in a foreign
language can continue in more advanced levels in
the same language, they can begin
another language, or, in consultation with their
advisor, they can take humanities
electives that have a strong multicultural component,
for example, EG60 Global
Literature, PL17 World Philosophies, CO23 Intercultural
Communication, ID 33
Jewish Thought and Culture, HM48 Women Around the
World, MU24 Opera, et al.
