Language Laboratory

The LANGUAGE LABORATORY is located in the Islip Arts Building, Room 114. The lab provides foreign language and English as a second language (ESL) students with the opportunity to practice a variety of language skills using audio-visual materials and interactive computer programs. Students can develop and enhance their language ability through individualized practice in listening and reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, oral communication, and culture.

ESL Students are required to complete hours of lab time during the semester. There is a maximum of 2 hours per day (for any one class) that can be applied towards the lab requirement.

TUTORING in Spanish, French, Italian, German, Chinese and EF is available by appointment.

Language Lab Schedule:

Monday 9:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Wednesday 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m

Friday 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Saturday 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
