Refreshments will be served.

The difficult human problem of addiction has long been with us. The neurobiology of addiction is a relatively new and fast moving scientific field that is providing new insights into this old problem. An interdisciplinary group at Brookhaven National Laboratory has developed new and refined imaging techniques and used imaging to study addiction. Dr. Fowler is one of the distinguished leaders of this research group and we are fortunate to have the opportunity to hear about this work from her.

Please join us for this special event. BIOS and the biology department welcome you.

This event is sponsored by the Student Activities Outreach Program.
