360 Search
    360 search allows users to search through any or all of the SCCC library databases.
Academic Search Complete
    Academic Search Premier is the world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 7,000 full-text periodicals, including nearly 6,000 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 11,000 journals and a total of more than 11,600 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,000 journals.
Alt HealthWatch
    This database focuses on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. It offers libraries full text articles for more than 180 international, and often peer-reviewed journals and reports. In addition, there are hundreds of pamphlets, booklets, special reports, original research and book excerpts.
AP Images
    AP Images is a digital library of photos, audio clips and graphics.
Associates Programs Source
    Associates Programs Source contains nearly 1,000 full-text journals as well as 11 full-text books. This database is designed specifically for the research needs of two-year colleges, and provides comprehensive coverage of the most relevant associates program level content.
Associations Unlimited
    The premier source for associations - use this database to locate approximately 460,000 international and U.S. national, regional, state, and local nonprofit membership organizations in all fields, including IRS data on U.S. 501(c) nonprofit organizations. The database is also used to monitor association trends; identify related associations; networking and making professional contacts; marketing to associations, their members and markets.
Biography Reference Bank Select Edition
    This Wilson biography database Biography Reference Bank Select Edition is an in-depth 100% full-text biographical resource, providing comprehensive coverage of people in the news and a full range of history-makers. It covers over 236,000 individuals, plus more than 36,000 images. The content of the database comes from a wide variety of high quality Wilson resources, featuring biographical profiles, feature articles, interviews, essays, book reviews, performance reviews, speeches (Wilson’s Speeches of the American Presidents), or obituaries.
Books in Print
    Books in Print contains in-print and forthcoming books, audios and videos, as well as books, audios and videos declared out-of-print or out-of-stock-indefinitely since 1979.
Business Resource Center
    Business and Company Resource Center is a fully integrated resource bringing together company profiles, brand information, rankings, investment reports, company histories, chronologies and periodicals. Search this database to find detailed company and industry news and information. Most of the articles are full-text and available online.
Business Searching Interface
    This database is an expansion on Ebsco's Business Source. It include company profile, industry report, countries studies, etc.
Business Source Complete
    Business Source Complete is the world's definitive scholarly business database, providing the leading collection of bibliographic and full text content. As part of the comprehensive coverage offered by this database, indexing and abstracts for the most important scholarly business journals back as far as 1886 are included. In addition, searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,300 journals.
Canadian Reference Centre
    Canadian Reference Centre combines Canadian magazines, newspapers, newswires and reference books to create the largest collection of regional full text content available to Canadian libraries. This database includes leading Canadian periodicals and international (U.S. and U.K) periodicals in full text; full text reference books; 84,774 full text biographies and an Image Collection of over 453,000 photos, maps, and flags. This database is updated on a daily basis.

    CINAHL Plus with Full Text is the world's most comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals, providing full text for more than 750 journals indexed in CINAHL. This authoritative file contains full text for many of the most used journals in the CINAHL index – with no embargo. CINAHL Plus with Full Text is the definitive research tool for all areas of nursing and allied health literature.
Clase and Periodica
    Clase and Periodica offers access to more than 300,000 bibliographic citations from documents published in 2,600 scholarly journals published in the Spanish, Portuguese, French and English languages. Most articles are not availalbe fulltext.
College Source
    College Source features over 25,931 College Catalogs in complete cover-to-cover, original page format representing 2-year, 4-year, graduate, professional and international schools.
Community Resource Database of Long Island (Directory)
    Computerized directory of community services and resources includes information on more than 4,500 health, human service and education agencies and programs in the Suffolk County/Long Island area.
Computer Source
    Computer Source provides researchers with the latest information and current trends in high technology. This database offers full text for nearly 300 publications and indexing and abstracts for nearly 450 publications.
Computers & Applied Sciences Complete
    Computers & Applied Sciences Complete covers the research and development spectrum of the computing and applied sciences disciplines. CASC provides indexing and abstracts for more than 1,800 academic journals, professional publications, and other reference sources from a diverse collection. Full text is also available for more than 730 periodicals.
Culinary Arts Collection
    The Culinary Arts collection includes 150 of the major cooking and nutrition magazines. Coverage includes thousands of searchable recipes, restaurant reviews, and industry information.
Custom Newspapers
    Custom Newspapers is a collection of 150 national & international full-text newspapers. It includes the current year of the New York Times.
Dance in Video
    Dance in Video contains 250 dance productions and documentaries by the most influential performers and companies of the 20th century. Selections cover ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, experimental, and improvisational dance, as well as forerunners of the forms and the pioneers of modern concert dance.
Dissertations
    Contains indexing to over 2,000,000 dissertations dating back to 1861.
Ebsco Animals
    Provides in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals. The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals.
Education Research Complete
    Education Research Complete is the definitive online resource for education research. Topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing. Education Research Complete provides indexing and abstracts for more than 3,000 journals back to 1881, as well as full text for more than 2,000 journals back to 1936, and includes full text for numerous education-related conference papers and more than 500 books and monographs back to 1972.
Environment Complete
    Environment Complete offers deep coverage in applicable areas of agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, renewable energy sources, natural resources, marine & freshwater science, geography, pollution & waste management, environmental technology, environmental law, public policy, social impacts, urban planning, and more.
ERIC (Education)
    ERIC, the Educational Resource Information Center, is a national information system supported by the U.S. Department of Education, the National Library of Education, and the Office of Educational Research and Improvement. ERIC provides full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1000 educational and education-related journals.
Ethnic News Watch
    Ethnic NewsWatch indexes news, culture and history from 200+ publications of the Ethnic, Minority and Native Press, both in English and Spanish. Most of the Articles are full-text and available online.
Facts on File
    Complete content from the Facts On File World News Digest since 1940 and selected content from six other core reference databases to answer questions about events, issues, statistics and people of the last 60+ years.
Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia
    Funk & Wagnalls New Encyclopedia database indexes over 25,000 records, covering an array of topics. Full text for each record may be easily accessed by double clicking on the topic from the display
Gale General Onefile
    Infotrac is a one-stop source for news and periodical articles on a wide range of topics: business, computers, current events, economics, education, environmental issues, health care, hobbies, humanities, law, literature and art, politics, science, social science, sports, technology, and many general interest topics. Millions of full-text articles, many with images.
Gale Virtual Reference Library
    Gale Virtual Reference Library is a database of encyclopedias, almanacs, and specialized reference sources for research in a wide variety of subjects.

From Shakespeare's sonnets to poems by Donald Hall or short stories from Edgar Allan Poe to works by Annie Proulx, LitFinder has you covered.
Gale's Power Search
    Gale's Power Search allows users to search multiple Gale Databases with one search. It inlcudes newspaper, magazine and journal databases.
Gender Watch
    Gender Watch is a full-text database that focuses on the impact of gender across a broad spectrum of subject areas. All the articles are full-text and available online.
Geo Base
    GEOBASE indexes worldwide literature on geography, geology, and ecology. It includes journals, books, monographs, conference proceedings, and reports. Most of the articles are not full-text and must be searched for in our print collection.
Granger's Poetry Online
    Electronic version of the Columbia Granger's Index to Poetry. It includes some full-text poems.
Green File
    GreenFILE is a resource designed to help individuals and organizations interested in reducing the negative impact and increasing the positive impact they have on the environment. The database includes information for individuals, such as installing solar panels and recycling; for corporation needing information on green agriculture, hybrid cars or waste management; as well as, environmental laws, regulations and studies.
Grolier Online Encyclopedia
    Includes access to the Encyclopedia Americana, New Book of Knowledge and Grolier Multimedia Encyclopedia as well as Roget's II: The New Thesaurus and the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition.
Harper's Weekly-The Civil War Era
    Harper's Weekly-The Civil War Era (1857-1865) is the full-text and image of the Harper’s Weekly. Users can either browse through the journal or search for articles. All articles are full-text and available online.
Health and Wellness Resource Center
    Provides instant access to carefully compiled and trusted medical reference materials.     Humanities International Complete provides full text of hundreds of journals, books and other published sources from around the world. Produced by Whitston Publishing (an imprint of EBSCO Publishing), this database includes all data from Humanities International Index (more than 2,100 journals and 2.47 million records) plus unique full text content, much of which is not found in other databases.
Informe
    Informe contains the full-text of 50 Spanish-language and bilingual periodicals—including popular titles such as Actual, Latina and Siempre!
JSTOR Digital Archive
    The JSTOR digital archive contains fully searchable cover-to-cover replicas of the complete back-runs of important scholarly journals across more than 40 disciplines int he social sciences and humanities.
Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts with Full Text
    Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts with Full Text indexes more than 500 core journals, more than 50 priority journals, and 125 selective journals; plus books, research reports and proceedings. This database also contains full text for more than 240 journals.
Literary Reference Center
    Literary Reference Center (LRC) is a comprehensive literary reference database, which provides users with a broad spectrum of reference information from antiquity to the present day. LRC is a completely full-text database that combines information from over 1,000 books and monographs, major literary encyclopedias and reference works, hundreds of literary journals, and unique sources not available anywhere else. LRC contains detailed information on the most studied authors and their works and is an essential resource for public, academic and high school libraries.

MEDLINE with Full Text
    Medline is a service of the National Library of Medicine and it provides access to over 12 million citations to medical and life science journals dating back to the mid-1960's Many of the articles are not full-text and must be searched for in our print collection.
Military & Government Collection
    Military & Government Collection provides cover-to-cover full text for nearly 400 journals and periodicals pertaining to all branches of the military and government.
National Newspaper Index
    National Newspaper Index indexes America's top five newspapers in one seamless search: The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times and The Washington Post. The articles are not full-text.
Naxos Music Services
    Naxos is a large digital collection of classic music. It contains over 2,500 titles. Off campus users must have an SCCC login.
Net Library
    NetLibrary is a collection of electronic books. You will need to login if you are off campus
New York State Newspapers
    New York State Newspapers includes ten major newspapers published in the state of New York, including the New York Times and the New York Post. Most articles are full-text.
New York Times Historical Archive (1851-)
    The New York Times (1851-) offers full page and article images with searchable full text back to the first issue. The collection includes digital reproductions providing access to every page from every available issue. It does not include the current three years. The current three years can be found in Custon Newspapers.

Newspaper Source
    Newspaper Source provides selected full text for 25 national (U.S.) and international newspapers, including USA Today, The Christian Science Monitor, The Washington Post, The Times (London), The Toronto Star, etc. The database also contains selected full text for more than 200 regional (U.S.) newspapers.

    PsycARTICLES covers general psychology and specialized, basic, applied, clinical and theoretical research in psychology. The database contains more than 34,000 searchable full text articles from 43 journals published by the American Psychological Association and 8 from allied organizations.
Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection
    The Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection is a comprehensive database providing nearly 550 full text publications, including more than 500 peer-reviewed journals. Research Starters - Education
    Research Starters are study and research guides designed specifically for advanced high school students, college students and selected graduate students. They consist of comprehensive, yet concise topic summary articles of about 3,000 words in length written by researchers, scholars and other subject matter experts.

SIRS Issues Researcher
    SIRS Issues Researcher provides relevant, credible information on social issues, science, history, government, the arts and humanities. Most of the articles are full-text and available online.
Sociological Index
    The Sociological Index is a comprehensive database covering information in all areas of sociology, including social behavior, human tendencies, interaction, relationships, community development, culture and social structure. This database provides complete full text for more than 500 important journals, including nearly 500 peer-reviewed titles.
Teacher Reference Center
    Provides indexing and abstracts for more than 270 of the most popular teacher and administrator journals and magazines to assist professional educators.
The Twayne Authors Series
    omprises 600 full-text titles from the Twayne Literary Masters series, 200 each from Twayne World, US, and English Authors
Theater in Video
    Theatre in Video contains more than 250 definitive performances of the world's leading plays, together with more than 100 film documentaries, online in streaming video - more than 500 hours in all.
Vocational & Career Collection
    Vocational & Career Collection provides full text coverage for 400 trade and industry related periodicals.
Westlaw Campus
    Westlaw Campus is a Web-based legal research tool for undergraduate and graduate students who need to research law-related issues. Aside from the case and statutory law, it also includes articles from legal periodicals. Most of the articles are full-text and available online.
Westlaw Pro
    Westlaw Pro is a comprehensive legal database that is used in law offices, courts and legal libraries. It is only avaialable to students registered in the paralegal curriculum. Contact Grace Jackson at jacksogr@sunysuffolk.edu.
