Faculty Hand Book Introduction

INTRODUCTION

It is the hope of the Faculty Handbook Committee that this document will serve as a guide to faculty as they avail themselves of the many services and opportunities designed to enhance their professional experiences at Suffolk County Community College. It is intended to acquaint faculty with the policies and operations of the college.

Although the handbook is updated periodically (this current online edition was revised during the fall of 2005), it can only reflect the organization, polices, and operations of the college at the time of publication. Faculty should also refer to the current college catalog, the agreement between the County of Suffolk and the Faculty Association of Suffolk County Community College, the campus student handbook, and other official publications of the college for more specific information.
