"Last summer I participated in a summer research internship at Brookhaven National Laboratory. I worked with a scientist in the Chemistry Department who studies combustion reactions using laser spectroscopy. My research involved computer analysis of the infrared spectrum of a related molecule, CCBr. The internship was a very rewarding educational experience. I learned about current scientific research, met students from all across the country, and gained insight about vocational possibilities.
